A small-gap conveying surface developed around can stability

A spiral accumulation conveyor holding beverage cans in a dense queue between two production stages.

Beverage cans standing in a dense queue across the full width of a spiral accumulation conveyor track, wound around a stainless steel column.

The project

What the line needed, and what NEXUS did.

The requirement

A beverage line required accumulation capacity between production stages. The cans needed to form a dense queue on the spiral while remaining stable as they travelled across the conveying surface.

The engineering response

NEXUS used a specially developed small-gap slat-chain surface. Reducing the discontinuities beneath the can base helped lower the risk of cans tipping during accumulation.

Why this configuration works

The small-gap surface reduces discontinuities beneath the cans, helping the queue remain stable.
